Mint Julup

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity Unit
water 1.0 quart
sugar 2.0 cups
claret wine 1.0 pint
strawberry juice 1.0 cup
orange juice 1.0 cup
boiling water 1.5 cups
fresh mint 12.0 sprigs

Instructions

  1. Boil water and sugar twenty minutes, add mint and let stand five minutes.

  2. Strain, add fruit juices and cool.

  3. Pour into a punch bowl, add claret, and chill with a large piece of ice.

  4. Dilute with water and garnish with fresh mint leaves and whole strawberries.
